2012 Beneficiaries

This year Freezing Fun For Families is helping two very worthy little girls. 7 week old Stella Thomas and 9 year old Shanoah Addis
Stella's pediatrician discovered a mass in her abdomen at her two week baby well check up. At two weeks old Stella underwent major surgery to remove a large plum sized tumor from her adrenal gland. A biopsy from the tumor confirmed that Stella has Neuroblastoma stage 4S.
This years other beneficiary is 9 year old Shanoah Addis. Shanoah is battling Ewing sarcoma cancer while sleeping on her grandmother's couch. Doctors told Shanoah and her mother their mildew and mouse-infested trailer was uninhabitable. Shanoah has recently finished a round of chemotherapy and is currently in Boston starting her first round of radiation treatment. She is a fiesty little girl and if you watch this video below of Shanoah kicking cancers butt, you'll see she's got alot fight left in her. She's got some nice moves for a girl who already lost 4 ribs to Ewing Sarcoma.
Shanoah has been featured on the WCAX channel 3 news and is a perfect beneficiary for our tournament.

2012 Tournament

This years Tournament will be held March 2-4 2012 at the Barre Town Rec. fields. The entry Fee is $250 and can be paid using our paypal of by check. Please make checks out to Freezing Fun For Families and mail them to 37 Bolster Rd. Barre, VT 05641. You may also register your team on line using the register a team tab or by calling Corey at 802-249-0827

The Hollow Inn is offering a Winter Softball Rate of $68.00 per night for participating teams. Please book early as they are softball friendly and sell out fast for thr tournament.
The Days Inn in Barre is offering rooms for $75/night for up to 4 people. This includes an indoor pool and breakfast. Call Jeff at 802-476-6678 to reserve your room today!!
Please reserve your rooms soon as they are filling up fast. As of today Feb. 14th I believe the Hollow Inn is booked. There is also Comfort Inn in Berlin which is just up the hill from the fields. Give them a call at (802) 229-2222.

Due to the lack of snow there will be NO CLEATS, YAK TRAX OR ANY OTHER TRACTION DEVICES ALLOWED!!! These will ruin the fields that the Town of Barre so graciously allows us to use...Free of cost. If some is caught using cleats, yak Trax, etc. Their team WILL FORFEIT!! that game. Just so I am clear, if you or a player on your team is caught with cleats, yak trax, etc. YOUR TEAM WILL FORFEIT THAT GAME.

2012 Dinner Dance

This years dinner dance will be held February 25th at the Barre Elks Club. Tickets are $25 per person and include dinner,Music by THE NEX, silent auction and a chance to meet the family prior to the tournament.
